Serviio is a media server that streams computer content (music, video, or images) to devices such as a TV, Blu-ray player, game console, or mobile phone using the local network, enhancing your home content sharing capabilities.
Serviio works with many devices in your connected home (TV, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, smartphones, tablets, etc.). It supports profiles for certain devices, allowing it to be optimized to maximize the device's potential and/or minimize the lack of support for playing certain media formats (via transcoding).
Serviio is based on Java technology and therefore works on most platforms, including Windows, Mac and Linux (including embedded systems, e.g. NAS).
