About the Book

This book, primarily devoted to thoracic imaging, is divided into three main parts. The first brings together all the information necessary to understand the formation and interpretation of thoracic images, whether normal or pathological, thus minimizing the risk of misinterpretation. The second examines the various thoracic radio-anatomical syndromes. It enables the pulmonologist, when faced with a particular type of image, to relate it to the underlying anatomical compartment involved and to consider all possible etiologies. The third part, conversely, summarizes all the radiological aspects likely to be encountered in each of the pathologies considered. The author, a renowned clinician and accomplished educator, has drawn upon his personal archives, representing more than fifty years of experience, to offer a practical guide for daily practice. Students, general practitioners, radiologists, internists, and especially pulmonologists, will find in it a valuable, simple, and accessible guide enabling them to address all situations. A DVD containing nearly 5,000 images is associated with this book.
