CDex Portable software can extract data directly (digitally) from an audio CD, CD ripper, or CDDA. This means you can convert your audio CD to an MP3 file or other formats; the resulting audio file can be a standard WAV file, or you can compress audio data using an audio codec such as MP3, FLAC, AAC, WMA, or OGG.
Furthermore, WAV files from the hard drive can be converted to a compressed audio file (and vice versa). CDex also supports numerous audio file tag formats, such as ID3V1 and ID3V2 tags, which can be automatically inserted as part of the extraction process.
