Using a proxy allows you to hide your IP address when you browse, but it is often difficult for beginners to set up. With Stealthy, using a proxy becomes child's play.
Stealthy is a Chrome and Firefox extension developed by the company of the same name that allows you to connect to the internet through proxies. More precisely, you "borrow" an IP address other than your own: that of your proxy.
This extension gives you a way to access content that is blocked for you.
Streaming sites that exclude users based on their geographical location will no longer be able to do so, since for them, you will be a US resident.
Stealthy offers three operating modes:
- The connection via any proxy that the extension automatically selects from a whole host of proxies worldwide,
- The exclusive connection via a US proxy to access services limited to that country,
- Choosing a country using country codes.
No need to manually enter proxy details every time you want to connect; Stealthy reduces these operations to two or three clicks.
After installation, simply choose your proxy destination, start the extension, and that's it!
Once installed, a small red airplane icon will appear next to your browser's address bar. Click on this icon to activate it and enter the URL of the website you wish to access.
Warning: a proxy does not encrypt information like a VPN and we do not necessarily know who manages all these proxies, so be careful about what you transmit over the network.
