Game Maker was created by Mark Overmars using the Delphi programming language. The first version of Game Maker was released on November 15, 1999.
Game Maker offers graphical tools for creating all genres of games (platformers, action, puzzles, RPGs, adventures, etc.) using a proprietary language derived from Delphi. It's also possible to use 2D or 3D graphics. The created game can even be online multiplayer.
