The Windows PE 1.5 environment is a minimalist distribution of the Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 operating system.
This portable distribution allows you to run Windows XP from a CD/DVD or USB drive independently, with video, audio, and network support. A large number of additional LAN, WAN, SATA, and USB 3 drivers are included; however, there is a risk of incompatibility with newer systems. Due to capacity limitations, audio and video devices not natively integrated are not supported.
This Windows XP-oriented distribution includes security tools that allow access to the system installed on the host's hard drive. It is possible to edit user accounts, modify or reset existing passwords (at your own risk!), and retrieve license keys for installed products.
The Mozilla Firefox 30 browser, which includes the essential Adblock Plus ad blocker, is available for better internet access.
It is possible to read and write securely to all volumes used by currently known Microsoft systems. FAT and NTFS v3.1 compatibility is guaranteed for all versions up to Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016.
This tool is ideal for recovering data from a failing system without having to disassemble the hardware.
