Resource Hacker (ResHack) allows you to decompile a program or library (.exe, .dll, .ocx, .cpl, .scr) to extract content (images, icons…) or to modify its appearance.
When the file is opened, Resource Hacker displays a list of entries categorized by type (icons, menus, dialog boxes, cursors, etc.). For each entry, simply click on one of the objects in the list to see it displayed in the right-hand panel.
This allows you to retrieve an image or an icon, or even, more interestingly, modify the title of a menu or the property of a dialog box.
