Security Task Manager displays detailed information about all running processes (applications, DLLs, BHOs, and services). It also displays viruses and Trojans that may be disguised as known Windows processes.
For each process, it enhances the Windows Task Manager by providing a security risk score, a process description, a file path, a CPU usage graph, start time, built-in hidden features (e.g., keyboard monitoring, auto-completion, and browser monitoring or manipulation), and process type, such as visible window, system tray program, DLL, and IE plug-in.
The security risk assessment indicates the likelihood that the process is spyware, malware, a Trojan horse, or a keylogger. It also removes traces of your internet and computer activity, prevents monitoring of keystrokes, and alerts you when the registry is modified.
Additional software to protect your computer:
– Prevents keyboard and mouse monitoring, which stops keyloggers or other hacking tools.
– Being warned when the registry is modified protects you from Trojan horses that surreptitiously add an automatic startup key.
– Eliminates traces of your Internet activity, for example cookies, cache, history, entered URLs and temporary files.
– Eliminates traces of your computer work, for example the recent list of programs used (Word, ACDSee, PDF, WinZip, Media Player).
