The core mechanics of StarDrive 2 remain, but they've been given a massive overhaul that alters the galaxy's structure. First, the galaxy is now divided into hexagonal sectors with new resources, terrain features, bottlenecks, and other reasons to gleefully exterminate friendly plant life. New galactic building mechanics allow you to fortify sectors with combat stations, mining facilities, science stations, and much more. The sectors are teeming with new anomalies to explore, quests to unlock, and dangers to bravely dodge.
