Video Thumbnails Maker allows you to create thumbnails (previews, lists of screens) and screenshots of video files. The utility can be used for video cataloging and to support video sharing over a network.
The tool includes:

– The main advantage of the VIEWER is the ability to directly start a video file from a thumbnail.

Key features of MAKER:
– A thumbnail sheet is generated from a "set" of files (images from a separate folder or archive); for example, if you add a folder with 3 zip archives and 8 separate images — 4 sheets will be created (3 for the archives and 1 for 8 separate images)
– Many options and special effects; a momentary visual preview of your settings directly in the Options window
– 5 customizable “basic” presets; special matrices (not “MxN”) with large squares
– You can automatically generate GIF animations and HTML galleries using separate tiles from your sheets
– Batch processing; you can pause/continue or stop an active job at any time.
– Predefined file format options (*.ptm). After executing a preset, the program automatically opens with the imported setting.
– Command line interface (CLI, only works in activated version)
– Zip, 7z and RAR archives are fully supported by the MAKER
Main features of VIEWER:
– Zip and 7z archives are completely transparent to the program; you can manage an image without worrying about its actual location; if an image is located in a Zip or 7z archive, the program will automatically update the archive.
– RAR archives are partially transparent to the VIEWER (automatic decompression only); this means that you can still navigate through the images in the RAR archives, but you cannot delete/rename the files in these archives (RAR license restriction).
*.ptx is a special "thumbnail gallery" or "thumbnail sheet" file format; it is used by Pictures Thumbnails Viewer; a file with the .ptx extension can be easily opened by double-clicking it in any file manager.
* .vtx files are supported (the files are produced by Video Thumbnails Maker); the VIEWER allows you to start the video from its thumbnail sheet.
– Photo thumbnails Viewer, keeps your browsing history through thumbnails; so you can “jump back” using the Escape or Backspace keys.
– You can replace any part of your thumbnail sheet directly from the viewer and regenerate the entire sheet
– Detailed information about the image appears when you move the mouse cursor to the right edge of the screen (somewhere in the middle)
