Windows 7 (formerly known as Blackcomb and Vienna) is an operating system from Microsoft, released on October 22, 2009, and the successor to Windows Vista. Windows 7 was gradually replaced by Windows 8 starting on October 30, 2012. Support for Windows 7 RTM ended on April 9, 2013, while SP1 support ended in January 2015.
