NetLimiter is a tool for controlling and monitoring your computer's internet traffic. The program can be used to limit data transfer for a specific application or connection. Furthermore, NetLimiter provides detailed statistics, such as real-time or periodic traffic measurements for a particular application.<\/p>\n
The interface is perfectly clear, displaying bandwidth-intensive applications as soon as they are detected. By default, no limit is imposed, but you can activate one by choosing a maximum bandwidth for a program. This limit can be set independently for both upload and download speeds.<\/p>\n
Applications that are not relevant can be hidden to further clarify the display. And, as an added bonus, a graph shows the history of bandwidth consumption.<\/p>\n
As if that weren't enough, a scheduler allows (ultimate refinement) for planning limitations (for example: limit the download to 20KB\/s until 8:00 PM and then release this limit).<\/p>\n
